Jasprit Bumrah Comeback news, Big boost for team India: BCCI has announced that India’s leading pacer Jasprit Bumrah is all set to make comeback in the upcoming Ireland T20 Series.
India’s premium pacer has been under rehabilitation under NCA and is expected to be in great form after recovering from back surgery.
Jasprit Bumrah has been seen in full fitness at the National Cricket Academy (NCA).
In a great sigh of relief, Bumrah is set to return to the Indian team ahead of the Asia Cup 2023. He is well versed with subcontinent pitches and expected to lead team’s attack in Asia Cup and cricket world cup 2023.
Year 2022 has been a turbulent ride for Bumrah. He was constantly struggling with back injury and underwent several operations and rehabilitation.
He was seen in action for last time against Australia on September 25, 2022, and has been out of action since then. He went to NZ for surgery in March before returning to the NCA for rehabilitation.
Bumrah’s injury was nightmare for Team and fans as the Indian team has been struggling to perform in most of the series including embarrasing T20 world cup tour last year.
Fans missed him in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, and the ICC World Test Championship Final.
Team India has been struggling with the bowling attack and the absence of Bumrah has made it worse. If all goes well, the duo of Bumrah and Shami is expected to prove lethal attack combo for Team India in Asia Cup 2023 and ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.
Bumrah is currently at the NCA, Bengaluru and reportedly bowling at an average of 8-10 overs per day.
