Sri Lanka Cricket Team ICC World Cup 2023 Full Schedule: Fixtures, Matches, Date, Venues And Squad:From October 5 to November 19, cricket fans will be treated to the 13th edition of the Cricket World Cup, which will be held in India across 12 different venues.
The tournament will kick off with an exciting match between the defending champions, England, and the 2019 runners-up, New Zealand, at Ahmedabad.
A round-robin format will be employed for the group stage matches, consisting of 45 games in total. Each team will have the opportunity to face off against all the other participating teams once.

Out of the ten teams participating in the World Cup, eight have already qualified, while the remaining two spots will be filled by the winners of the ongoing Cricket World Cup Qualifiers 2023, being held in Zimbabwe.
The Sri Lankan cricket team has a rich history in the World Cup, having reached the finals on three occasions. They claimed their first-ever title in 1996, under the captaincy of Arjuna Ranatunga.

They also finished as runners-up in the 2007 and 2011 editions of the ICC ODI World Cup. Sri Lanka has previously reached the semi-finals in 2003 and the quarter-finals in 2015.

In recent years, the Sri Lankan team’s performance has been below par, and they have faced difficulties in winning important matches. This inconsistency has been a concern for the team and their supporters.
