English Premier League 2023-24 Transfer Window News, Teams: The Premier League season for the upcoming year is set to begin on August 12, 2023, with an exciting match between Burnley and treble winners Manchester City, which will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.
This start date is one week later than the previous season, as the schedule returns to normal following the disruptions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic and the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
The season will run for a duration of nine months, concluding on May 19, 2024.
To provide players with a much-needed break, the mid-season player break has been reintroduced and will take place between January 14 and January 20, 2024. This break will offer players a chance to rest and recover amidst the demanding schedule of the league.
In an effort to address the congested fixture list during the Christmas and New Year period, the Premier League has ensured that no two rounds of matches will be scheduled within 48 hours of each other.
This commitment was made to ease the strain on players and clubs during this festive period.
The summer transfer window for Premier League clubs opened on June 14, 2023, providing an opportunity for teams to make signings and strengthen their squads.
Clubs will have until 11 pm on September 1, 2023, to complete their summer transfer business.
Additionally, there will be a winter transfer window, which is set to open on January 1, 2024, and will close at 11 pm on February 1, 2024. This window allows clubs to make further adjustments to their squads during the mid-season period.
